Is this Farnrborough in HAMPSHIRE or Farnborough in KENT?

Our office lash-up is this lunchtime out in Farnborough...Bloody hell Aalborg, mate, there are only 3 pubs left in Farnborough, or a shit hotel.. Not a good place to go for a Christmas do!!! A Charlie chalks kids pub, a "Spoons" or a Real ale pub with tossers drinking half's of warm beer!!

They either came into the office with a trunk containing their outfit or will knock off about 3 hours before the function to get ready.
No need to ask

"Are you going to the Christmas party?" might be an inventive way.

Mine tonight. How do I ask the fit girls in the office if they're going without sounding like a dirty old man?

I'm 43

Depending on where you work, most people are actually friendly with colleagues and so are more than happy to have a free piss up with them.

I still booze with people from my first firm which I left in 2003. Not a bad lot for lawyers!

Lucky that I've never worked anywhere where I wouldn't want a beer with the people there. Must be a nightmare working with utter tossers.

Worse one was a couple of years ago ... meal at midday followed by numerous boozers... somehow ended up in a pub quiz... the prize was a gallon of beer which we drunk... got home at midnight absolutely off my tits... and then 10 mins later my phone goes off and I am called into work as the system I support has crashed.,... I was in till 6am... I only just sobered up by then...

Mines next week, I'd have to pay £150 for a train, another £150 for a hotel... all for a £20 allowance.

I said no thanks.

Nice to see that most of you cunts are a ma miserable as me.

I decline every year - why the fuck do I want to socialise with people I work with, the concept is bizarre.

Our party works out at a lot of money per head when you factor in the venue hire, meal, drinks, entertainment.

Just give people the money as an extra bonus and let them spend it on themselves or their family.

Ours is a Saturday too - work people on a weekend- fuck that!

One of the major benefits of taking early retirement is not having to attend one of these false ''let's all be happy '' night's out.Always a nightmare on the social calend and the ongoing speculation and gossip thereafter IMO

Partying with people I can't stand
People I have nothing in common with
People who will talk about work because they have no personalities

Nope.
